Waiting for a resolution (Timur28)

Timur waves his taloned hand and a cheer goes up inside from the battlements.

"Welcome Demon Lord! We are so glad you have returned after all these years!" The call comes down.

Hmmm. Was some Lord of Chaos here? Perhaps a Champion?

He calls back "It is good to be back. What have you been told about me?" Because I know nothing! And where is Jewel's Trump call?

"Nothing Demon Lord. We are glad you have come to sort out the problems that the Stranger has wrought to our world." The reply comes.

Well this is fortunate, but I still have a really bad feeling...

"Indeed. Show me the eagles and the Banefire."

He launches into the air and flies over the walls.

An ogre magi comes out the gate and bows to him.

"Of ocurse Lord. I am Clemgall and I will show you how we managed to prevent our doom." He says and leads Timur, Demon Lord into the little town. There are a number of giant eagles shackled in cages, but there are also a large number of humans in a large cage. He can see the great magical fire in the distance at the other side of town heading off into the sky.

[OOC Does the ogre magi have two heads?]

"The humans are slaves? What are the eagles for?"

]OOC - Why yes, they do indeed]

"Cleaning the chimney on the banefire. Without it we all die." The Ogre Magi Clemgall tells him.

[OOC We should role play two heads of the same ogre magi!]

"How do you get them to do that? And show me the Banefire and explain it to me."

[OOC - We?]

"They are kept tethered and do not get fed unless they clear the debris." Chemgall's left head says.

"They took some training." The right head replies.

The left head nods agreement.

[OOC Yes, we. Not in this campaign ofc. We should demand to play a two-headed ogre! In a one-off. I'm not sure that anyone could cope with it for a whole campaign!]

"What do you do with the humans?"

"They are fuel for the Banefire, though we will eventually run out so Naskrall is working on a breeding program." The Right head replies.

"How do you feed all the ogres, humans and eagles? How many are there? Show me the Banefire and tell me how it is created."

"We are forced to eat plants now. There are several hundred human slaves and twenty eagles of varying ages. All the others will now be dead. The Banefire was created by a mighty ritual by all the Priests, Shamans and mages." Chemgall's left head tells him.

The Ogre leads Timur up to the Banfire, that is held at ground level within a metallic ring. There is a roar of magic heading up into the sky. A piece of charred flesh comes off the body inside the ring and floats up the Banefire.

This could make an even better deterrent to resistance than pyramids of dead skulls!

"This isn't sustainable. I will find a new world for you. Are you willing to fight for me and your lives? I will take the eagles and humans, once you are away from here."

He pulls out Caine's Trump.

"We will obey a Demon Lord of course. If you can take us to another world that is good. We already come from another world so we understand the use of portals, but that knowledge was lost to our mages. We like to keep the human slaves if we can, but as a Demon Lord it your right to take. As long as there is food and water on new world." The right head tells him.

"I will ensure that you have access to food and water. You may have to fight first. Do you enjoy battle? And what world did you come from?"

"We come from Draenor. Oh yes, we good at fight! We have warrior, shaman, mage, warlock and hunter. We kill lots. We good at kill." Chemgall's left head declares.

[OOC Through the Dark Portal!]

"That is good. You may have to follow the instructions of a Demon Lord who chooses to look like a human. Defy him and he will cut both your heads off before the first head realises that he is dead. How do I open the cages holding the eagles and humans?"

And where am I going to send the humans?

"We have keys Lord, but do you think it wise to open them yet? We have not prepared for the journey yet." The left head tells him.

"I do not want the cages opened yet, but I may need to send you onwards before I release them. Bring the keys, then prepare your people to depart. I have arrangements to make."

Chemgall bows.

"Of course Demon Lord. I will convey your instructions to Gromgall." The Ogre Mage departs and heads into a roughshod hut that it bigger than all the others here. He returns and presents Timur with an oversized key.

He takes the key. "Thank you. Go prepare for departure."

He Trumps Caine.

"Of course Demon Lord." The Ogre gives him a toothy grin and heads off.

Yes Timur, report. Caine answers.

Good, I think. It sounds like you have most of it in order. Don't worry, although I don't have shifting I do have some powers and I can look like a Demon Lord if I need to. The sooner Jewel creates that gate the better. Caine replies.
