Waiting for a resolution (Timur28)

Ogres, why does it always have to be ogres?!?

He instructs his cells to adopt his natural form, armoured and wearing Mandor's black suit. Then he walks over to the ogres and calls out "Good day! Can you understand me?"

The ogres turn and look at Timur as though he's an inferior pile of dog turd that they stepped on.

"Where you escape from slave? You wear funny stuff!" The ogre chrotles.

There must be a shadow somewhere with pleasant, peace-loving ogres, although these seem to be cheerful slavers, not unlike my nomads! <chuckle>

"I come from afar. My master wants large eagles. Do you have them in your settlement?" He points in the direction of the walled settlement.

"Afar? Where?" The ogre looks at him suspiciously. "No one can live in the wilds now without the Banefire."

Banefire?

"Beyond the wilds. What is Banefire? Perhaps my master uses a different name for it?"

"Nothing can live out there any more." The Ogre replies suspciiously. "Only the Banefire keeps us alive now that the stranger took everything."

"And yet here I am..."

"This stranger, he wouldn't be a tall thin human with dark hair, who walks using a stick, would he?"

"Yes, that is the stranger." The ogre replies. "You cannot possibly live out there long. The night will kill you. Who did you escape from slave?"

If there's one thing worser than ogres...

"He calls himself Master Delvious and he's an evil man who sucks the life out of entire worlds. There are many worlds in the Universe and my master is the Universe. How long till night?"

"Didn't get his name, but we would all kill if we find him. He sucked the life from the world and now all that keeps it going is the Banefire. We fish here for five more cubits. You better either get back to your master or look for one. You will die if you stay out of the range of the Banefire when night comes." The Ogre tells him, shrugs and goes back to fishing.

"Thank you for the information. My master" the Universe "will be very grateful."

He walks towards the settlement, Trumping Jewel and intending to shape shift when out of sight of both the fisher ogres and the towers.

"You should go back to him." The Ogre says without looking back.

Timur starts walking beside the River towards that little town and Trumps Jewel.

Well, where are my eagles Timur? She demands straight away.

So I'll be rescuing the eagles then? Jewell declares, then adds more suspiciously. Are these Ogres viscious killers?

Yes its important to establish that, although I guess I don't mind if they're just food for my dinos. Jewel replies. She turns and looks annoyed. The help has offered to assist you.

How will I know when I need to Trump you? Jewel asks pointedly.

Can I pick out the one I want, if I want one that is? Jewel asks.

Oh I can have all the eagles! That will mean I have more than you right? Yes I will count the seconds. Jewel claps and laughs. Timur doesn't think that Jewel is joking about the last part.

We will have to see, I can't be certain what the situation is yet. Talk to you in five minutes.

He ends the call and adopts Chaos Form. Doesn't look human, might connect me to the eagles, and is the bet form when I inevitably get into a fight...

Timur's can get into Chaos form and proceeds towards the little town. As he approaches it, he hears shouts of excitement from the guard towers.

They sound a bit too excited for my liking. I better not have the appearance of their fertility goddess!

He waves a taloned hand at the towers.
